Where to Celebrate Spring in Camden

25th March 2021

After a long and cold winter, spring is just about upon us! This season more than ever, we all could use some flowers, greenery and sunshine. While it may take a few weeks for spring to have truly sprung, now is the perfect time to break your sneakers back in and take in the spring sights, sounds and smells in Camden.

There are plenty of places to do just that around your The Victor apartment, including at the Camden waterfront. While the area is known for the family-friendly Adventure Aquarium and entertainment hub BB&T Pavilion, it is also a great place to take in the spring air and stunning views.

The riverside oasis is popular with everyone from runners to dog walkers to those just looking for some peace and quiet. In particular, outdoor enthusiasts flock to Wiggins Waterfront Park. The park features a 1.2-mile promenade that stretches alongside the water, from the Ben Franklin Bridge to the Battleship New Jersey. The paved trail is great for running, walking or cycling—all of which comes with a built-in view of the river and the Philly skyline. Once the pandemic subsides, it will again welcome festivals, concerts and other community activities. It’s also home to a bustling marina, which is popular with everyone from boaters to kayakers to fishers.

The adjacent Camden Children’s Garden is another spot perfect for spring. While the space offers plenty of fun and free activities for little ones—like life-sized dinosaurs, an expansive playground and a splash park—it’s also a horticultural haven for adults looking for some spring solace from the bustling city. Winding paths, flowering plants and trees and plenty of seating make it a great place to kick back and welcome spring.

We’ve all been cooped up this winter, so now is the time to welcome back warmer weather and all the possibilities of spring, all safely and without traveling too far from your The Victor apartment.
