Where to Watch the Phillies When Baseball Returns

2nd April 2020

We may be in a bit of a delay right now, but baseball season will eventually be back before we know it! If you’ve gotten used to hunkering down at home, a trip to Citizens Bank Park to cheer on the Phillies may seem like too big of a chore—with crowds, high prices and equally high temps. If you want to take in a game without all that fanfare, stick a bit closer to home with a trip to one of the many sports bars near your The Victor apartment.

Old City Philadelphia is home to scores of popular sports bars, including Buffalo Billiards—which is right across the bridge from your The Victor apartment, easily accessible by car, PATCO or ferry. High-def TVs are around every corner at this spacious bar and grill, which is a sports fan’s dream, with loads of memorabilia and plenty of opportunities for visitors to get into their own competitions, including pool, darts and shuffleboard.

No Phillies game is complete without some pub grub, and Buffalo Billiards serves up plenty. Burgers, tacos, pierogis and more will have you feeling like you’re right at the ballfield (while you’re only minutes from your The Victor apartment!), and the drinks list is equally enticing. You’ll really think you’re right at the game with Buffalo Billiards’ Phillies specials, which include $1 hot dogs and $3 Bud and Bud Light bottles (except on Friday and Saturday nights). For weekday games, score big with happy hour specials that include half-off more than a half-dozen appetizers and loads of drink discounts. There are also rotating specials on weekdays, such as free pool and shuffleboard games, $3 local drafts, $4 well drinks and much more.

So, when the Phils return, put on your jersey and play hooky at Buffalo Billiards for a game to remember!
