Cure Your Cabin Fever At This Local Spot

14th May 2020

The last few months may have had you spending lots of time on the couch of your The Victor apartment, but with spring soon turning into summer, there’s no better time to get out and about and enjoy the sunshine. While getting back to normal is going to take some time, a simple stroll in the park can still be a safe and healthy way to get a change of scenery and some exercise. And with all of the green spaces in both Camden and Philly, there are plenty of spots to choose from.

One of the best ways to take in the sights of spring is at the Camden waterfront, just two blocks from your The Victor apartment. While the attractions along the waterfront—Wiggins Park, the Camden Aquarium and BB&T Pavilion—aren’t yet back up and running, that doesn’t mean you can’t be! The winding waterfront pathway is the perfect place to pound the pavement for those looking to refresh both the body and the mind.

Walkers, joggers and bikers can enjoy flat terrains and waterfront breezes, important as the weather starts to warm up. There’s also plenty to see along your journey, so even if you take to the path every day, you can always find something new to look at. The grassy hills along the concert venue and the lush landscapes around the Camden Children’s Garden are a nice complement to the cityscape on the other side of the river, while the Benjamin Franklin Bridge is an eye-catching sight at any time of the day or night. Both Camden and Philly provide plenty of city sights and sounds, but the peacefulness of the Wiggins Marina and the quieter than usual waterfront may help you feel rejuvenated after a tough few months.

So if you’re in the market to reenergize yourself, lace up the sneakers, leash up the dog and head out of your The Victor apartment to get some fresh air, stretch your legs and get a taste of springtime.
