Send Off Summer at This Outdoor Space

22nd September 2020

Summer of 2020 has been one for the books—we may not have gotten in the trip to the shore, the usual summer festival or all the bar crawling that we’d like, but it’ll definitely be one to remember. As we prepare to say goodbye to summer, we’re also gearing up for a lot more indoor time, which can be a little nerve-wracking in our current conditions. So before the weather gets too chilly, take the opportunity to get out and about near your The Victor apartment and appreciate all of the creative ways to enjoy nature, get some exercise and maybe even learn a few things—all while staying safe and socially distant.

One such way to do all of that is at Spruce Street Harbor Park. Located on the Philadelphia side of the Delaware River waterfront, less than 15 minutes from your The Victor apartment, the popular outdoor space returned for the summer of 2020 with new safety precautions, including line limits, restaurant reservations, monitored capacity, sanitizing stations, mask requirements and, unfortunately, none of its tree-strung hammocks. But there’s still plenty to see and do and, since it’s an all-outdoor venue, you can breathe easily that it’s a safe outing!

Food options abound at Spruce Street Harbor Park, including local favorite Chickie’s & Pete’s, Village Burger and a new ice cream shop by Garces. Reservations are required for the popular riverside Water Garden, where you can dine and drink out on a pier overlooking the water. Play games, take in live music and enjoy a nightly light show, all with the beautiful backdrop of the river. Plan to get there soon, as the venue packs up for the fall at the end of the month.

Outdoor fun may be limited once the winter weather arrives, so take the opportunity now to enjoy all of the beauty and potential that abound right near your The Victor apartment!
